The Galena Fire at Lory State Park
I've written before about wildland fires; living in California, fire was such a part of our routine that although I blogged about the one at Griffith Park, and another on Catalina Island (some of my favorite places to run back then) it was hardly a big deal when a fire broke out.
But this one is really close to home.
Dear friends of ours have been evacuated, and the trails on which I've logged thousands of miles are surrounded by flame. It is scary and sad, even though of course fire is a natural part of our landscape.
Take care, everyone, and see you on the trail!
