A Crooked Trail or Two

Today I'm writing with salty air in my lungs and a lot of joy in my heart. Today, my cousin Beth married Danny, a kind and thoughtful addition to the clan. Hooray!

The day began (as the best days tend to do!) with a run. We're staying in Del Mar, CA about half a mile from the beach, so it was simple to run down Carmel Valley Road (across the northern border of the Torrey Pines State Beach) to the coast, where there are easily accessible routes both north and south. The trail was undergoing some construction/reconstruction today, but it was still pretty easy to find my way. I mean, when there's an ocean on one side, it's not like you can get lost!
